Located on the west side of Oahu, next to the Marriott, this property and this unit is amazing. First, the unit. Built in 2007,the kitchen is state of the art with Wolf and Subzero appliances. A large island and an open floor plan. The living room/dining room/kitchen/lanai was wide open and perfect for entertaining. The wall of glass pockets into the wall and disappears to reveal a huge deck with an amazing view of the ocean. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing. The three bedrooms are perfect. Each with it's own Luxurious private bathroom and enormous windows. One has access to the deck. The unit is quiet and well equipped. Your own washer and dryer, a wine fridge, a 2 drawer dishwasher and a huge kitchen sink with disposal. Completely modern and well designed. Besides the unit, there are the several pools, the 3 hot tubs, pool bar and a few steps away the ocean. The surf is amazing. We were 3 couples and completely satisfied with the unit and the complex. There are great restaurants within walking distance...Marriort for lunch and Roy's and Monkey Pod for dinner. Well deserved 5 star condo...
Perfect location! Close to everything yet far away enough to truly enjoy the perfect Hawaiian getaway. The condo itself was beautiful! Everything you would need is provided. The owners were very wonderful and easy to communicate with too. The staff at the Villa's were amazing as well. Blayne is is the best! Hands down the best vacation ever!! Thank you Joan and Ron! We will definitely be back!
This place is fabulous. Very high end finishes. We saved lots of money by buying drinks and food at the nearby Costco and Target. The pools are beautiful and were not crowded at all. My "kids" are 20, 24, 28 and 29 and were happy just to spend the day bouncing between the pools. There are four outdoor grills to "cook out". Outstanding views!! They light tiki torches every night and the ground are impeccable. We were able to do laundry in our unit, big plus. The lanai has large doors that slide into the walls so you feel like you are outside. TVs in every room, great internet access, sub zero fridge with a separate wine fridge. Double dishwashers were helpful when we only had to wash coffee cups and spoons. The closets had lots of towels and toys plus snorkel gear & chairs. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were large and lush. We travel a lot for family vacations and this has been our favorite trip. Lots and lots to do within walking distance. Tons of restaurants and three other resorts nearby. We visited Aulani twice. The open air lobby was so fun and the staff is top notch. If I could give this 6 out of 5, I would. Very affordable for a family of five adults. We will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this unit to friends. The resort was perfect for our needs (grandparents traveling with children and grandchildren). The pools and lagoon were beautiful and much less crowded than those nearby at the JW Marriott and Disney resorts. Our unit was beautiful and very well-stocked with everything you could need: tons of linens, cooking utensils, and even beach toys! Some of our friends staying in other units complained about not having enough towels, etc. and having trouble with the washer/dryer, but we had none of those issues. The management team for this unit was very accommodating and helpful. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
This was a wonderful place to vacation with our children! We have 3 active kids (Ages 2,6,9) so it is important for us to have a good "home base" accessible to kid friendly activities and the comforts of home. Ron and Joan are great hosts. They provided us good insight into the area and gave us a tour of the resort upon our arrival. First off, Ko 'Olina is walking distance to several great restaurants. (Roy's is a favorite.) And it is also only a short drive from Kapolei which has many familiar stores and grocery stores so we could easily stock up on food and necessities. And it is only an hour's drive to be able to explore the North Shore and do the touristy stuff like hike Diamond Head, Waikiki Beach, Pearl Harbor, etc. In regards to the condo, layout was perfect for our family. All the bedrooms and bathroom were spacious, comfortable, and well furnished. The location of the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms down the hall from the kitchen and living room was ideal for keeping a quiet environment in the evenings for the children to sleep peacefully while the adults could still socialize in the main area. The kitchen was very modern and outfitted very well for us to cook meals for the family. And the patio was wonderful place to enjoy the quiet of sunrise and sunset. On the grounds, there is a "quiet" lap pool, kid pools, jacuzzis, and the lagoon. We spent countless hours in all three. Our favorite was the lagoon. It was shallow enough and the waters calm enough for us to feel comfortable letting the 2 year old play with his older brothers on the beach, in the sand, and in the gentle waves. Our three boys spent hours tirelessly swimming & exploring the lagoon waters and building sand castles. And in the early morning one day, we walked to the various lagoons and even got to observe a sea turtle swimming in one of the lagoons. The resort staff is also able to help arrange activities. We used their services to set up surf lessons for the older boys and me. The company was able to pick us up from the resort and take us to a nearby beach which was a good place to learn to surf. The waters were shallow enough. And the waves were big enough, but gentle enough for a beginner surfer. The boys & I had a great time with our lessons and look forward to surfing again. What was also great about this place is that it was so peaceful and serene. We look forward to hopefully returning many times and enjoying the hospitality!
Beautiful Five star resort. We loved the condo and all the help Ron gave us at check in. The pool, beach, lagoon were all beautiful and the least crowed of all the resorts nearby. We loved walking the pathways past the 4 lagoons every morning. Our view from the lanai was amazing of the Pacific ocean. Our teenage girls loved having their own room and a place to unwind. We would definitely refer this condo and area to family and friends looking for a great place to stay while visiting Hawaii. We loved all the outdoor restaurants in the area, Longboards, Chucks, Roy's, The Disney restaurant's, Thank you to the owners!
We were a party of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids aged 6 and 2) that had the pleasure to stay at the Ko Olina Beach Resort in January 2013. The organizing and booking experience in working with Joan was a positive one. Joan was prompt, responsive and was more than willing to address our numerous questions. The condo is beautiful, new, modern and clean. The pictures accurately represent. Both families enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next trip to Hawaii. A few things could have been improved… While staying in other vacation condos, we have always received a book about the condo, where things are, and descriptions of important pieces of information. There was no book upon our arrival and many questions we had went unanswered or we would have to email Joan to get additional information. A week before our departure Joan told us the children’s pool – a main attraction for us – would be closed. We were extremely disappointed with this last minute change but understood it was out of the Joan’s control. Had we known at the time of booking, we would have sought other options. Given the late timing, availability of alternatives and pre-paid deposits, we felt stuck. We were assured that we would have full access to the main lap pool and would be compensated for the inconvenience by receiving a $100 gift card to a nearby restaurant. Joan was willing to investigate what kid pool options might exist for us. We were stunned and disappointed with how the resort the closure of children’s pool and the effect on the lap pool. It should have been expected, families with children would use the lap pool. ‘Pool cops’ would circle the pool frequently throughout the day to tell parents and kids to stop splashing, jumping, making noise and using pool toys. How do they expect kids to behave at a pool?!? Families with kids were expected to accommodate the need for less day time noise – the preference of some tenants/guests – but there seemed to be accommodation for the needs of the people that had been inconvenienced by the closure of the kids pool. We were told “these are the rules”. When availability of facilities changes, there should be flexibility from all to accommodate everyone’s needs. It was ridiculous to tell kids to stop jumping, splashing and having fun. Have they never closed the children’s pool before? They could have scheduled ‘quiet’ swim time allowing only lap swimmers or set up pool dividers to keep kids in one area. Good stay otherwise!
What a beautiful destination! My family and I truly enjoyed the pools, the easy access to the beach and walking distance to other beautiful resorts within Ko Olina - truly spectacular! The property easily fit all five adults without seeming too crowded. The furniture and amenities were just gorgeous. We enjoyed several evenings in drinking cocktails and cooking wonderful food in the fully-outfitted kitchen. Kapolei was just a short drive away with lots of stores, supermarkets and even more restaurants. The owners were very responsive to our needs and were easy to contact throughout our stay if we needed anything. My family and I can't wait to go back next year!
